Also in PB form was India Gorvett, showing superb technique to clear 1.20m on the 3rd time of asking, to take a superb age group victory. Isla Bell produced some solid jumps, with a best clearance of 1.25m. In the long jump, Alexander produced a fine 3.52m, with India also jumping well.
On track, Caitlin Creaby was in fine form, and was just outside her PB in the 100m. in the 150m, Caitlin set a massive PB of 22s, as she was 2nd fastest in age group. Alexander rushed over from the high jump to record the 3rd fastest time of the day in the 60m, whilst India recorded another PB in the 150m with a strong run.

MASSIVE PLEA FOR HELP FROM OUR PARENTS & FAMILY MEMBERS
Athletics can only run thanks to the support of volunteers. One thing we are desperately short of is FIELD OFFICIALS. These are volunteers who can help run field events at T&F comps, in particular the NEYDL. As a participating club, we are required by the rules to provided qualified officials at NEYDL events, something we have struggled to do last year. This year, if we are unable to fulfill our obligation to provide officials, we will not only lose points, but also we will be limited in the numbers of athletes we can enter into field events. This is something that we cannot allow to happen.
If you wish to consider starting on the officiating journey, then please know that you will have the full support of the club and all fees will be paid in full by the club. Officials receive expenses, and have opportunities to progress if the ambition is there. Officials from Blyth have recently been in action at World-Class Diamond League events, and will testify that it is the most rewarding experience.
