Highlanders Vote
UCR prides itself on fostering an environment where diversity and inclusivity are able to thrive, even in times of increasing political unrest. Transformative change develops here in response to many of the greatest challenges at home and abroad. But there is another place where decisions significantly impact the academic, professional, and personal endeavors of UCR students, alumni, faculty, and staff: the election booth.

UCR joins its sister campuses across California in encouraging UC students, alumni, faculty, and staff to register to vote by the Oct. 19 deadline. Download a set of #HighlandersVote Zoom backgrounds and join the #HighlandersVote call on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
Creations with Canva, for designers and nondesigners alike
Looking to quickly create a simple collateral piece that aligns with UCR’s visual brand identity? Since UCR’s brand refresh launched with updated Canva templates, the platform has emerged as the preferred campus design tool for nondesigners. With a few curated images, such as campus beauty portraits, creating a branded communication piece takes just a little thoughtful messaging and a few mouse clicks.

Alumni census results
UCR relies on a robust alumni network to advance the university’s regional and global impact and empower future generations of Highlander students and alumni. This year, over 8,600 UCR alumni and University Extension certificate holders took part in the Alumni Roll Call, helping inform future alumni outreach and programming.

Design Spotlight
An array of campus signs proudly displaying the new UCR logo and accompanied by an accent pattern — both available for download on the brand site — rise above the university, welcoming new and returning students, parents, faculty, researchers, and staff, and awaiting an eventual full reopening of campus.
