God Provided a Flat!

Thank you all for your prayers and messages! Our crew of 5 plus our close friend Christina (so thankful to have had help getting here and settling in) arrived in our city on Wednesday, October 24th. We endured many nights of 2:00 and 3:00 AM awakenings because of jet lag, but everyone is now fully adjusted to the new time zone.

After we visited several areas, God provided an amazing flat for us to rent. We are really thankful that it is less than 100 yards from two American families with children and that it is on a side street with very little traffic. Most of you have probably seen video of Calvin on a balance bike and Silas on a scooter right behind our flat. That kind of space is very limited here, so we are very grateful to have it!
Naomi receiving a warm welcome from the kids at the Home of Love orphanage during our visit. This will be our long term location after language school.
Eating our first dinner in our new flat together. We don't have a lot of furniture yet, but we're slowly settling in.
Jet lag hitting the boys hard after being picked up from our third and final flight.
Naomi is adored everywhere she goes, and she soaks it up! Here she is being pampered while we shop for fans.

Prayer Requests
We have much to share with you in upcoming updates. In the meantime please remember us in your prayers for:
  • Safe travel and a good visit with our friend Jess November 13-22.
  • Language learning. We are one week in and know enough to know how humanly impossible the task will be!
  • Soft, receptive hearts for our children. Would you believe talking about sin and joy in God does not come easily for them?
  • A daily reminder of where our identity truly rests. Not knowing how to do things here as well as we'd like makes us feel inadequate at times. Please join us in praying against this.
