Veteran LED: Transforming the Way You Think About Energy

Island Dreams

[A New Year’s Resolution]

Can you imagine the turquoise waters and sunny skies of the Caribbean right about now? One place that’s caught our eye is the Frangipani Beach Resort in Anguilla, named one of the world’s best resorts by Travel + Leisure.

Maybe the dream’s not so far off. At Tuckahoe Creek Apartments, Veteran LED saves the owners $12,060 a year through energy-efficient solutions. That’s enough to book a seven-night stay in a Frangipani penthouse suite.

How you spend your extra money is up to you. But one thing we know:
It won’t be going to a utility company.
How much can you save? Schedule an estimate with us.

In the Headlines

Network Launches in Response to Growing Industry

Veteran LED is proud to support business owners, nonprofit leaders and environmental advocates in their launch of Greenbound RVA.

Richmond is becoming a hub for activity in the clean energy space. Greenbound is a network of professionals with the goals of forging business collaborations, building collegial relationships and engaging the community through volunteering and local support.

The effort is spearheaded by Chase Counts, above right with Veteran LED founder Chris Rawlings. Chase is the director of utility programs at Community Housing Partners Energy Solutions and a consultant who has spent years as an advocate and provider of energy efficient programs for low-income households and vulnerable populations throughout Virginia.

You’re invited to come hang out at the next Clean Power Hour. Watch this space for details on the next event in January.

School Spirit
Millwood School is known for its high academic standards, family atmosphere and unique approach to helping students reach their full potential. The Midlothian, Virginia-based private school also set the bar high with its approach to energy efficiency — brightening its learning environment with environmentally friendly LED lighting that saves
money and uses school resources to their fullest. We were proud to work with Millwood on its classroom and interiors, gymnasiums and exterior lighting. Thank you Richard Primmer and US Electric for an amazing job on the install and Veteran LED’s Daniel Carter for running the job smoothly. And thank you Millwood!

3 Power Moves
  1. COMMON WEALTH: Virginia will install solar at three state facilities. Veteran LED offers energy solutions to government entities and we’re always happy to see public dollars being used wisely.

  2. YEAR IN REVIEW: The folks at Greentech Media have rounded up the “Hyped Stories, Underplayed Trends and Breakthroughs of 2018” in this end-of-year podcast, with some predictions for 2019.

  3. BIG SWITCH: Veteran LED has seen firsthand the savings and other benefits that the industrial and manufacturing sectors see from a switch to LED lighting. Now people are noticing the environmental impact too.
Client Thanks
Thank you to our December clients — Sunrise Cycles in Virginia Beach, Millwood School in Midlothian and Fishburne Military School in Waynesboro.

Sunrise, Millwood and Fishburne all were able to make the switch to LED and save big with no upfront cost after Veteran LED secured special financing and utility rebates.

By combining a financing and rebate package, each project is projected to create positive cash flow starting month one.
