START YOUR READING!  The Book Group meets again on Sunday, December 1st from 3-5pm in Friendship Hall.  We are reading Brene’ Brown’s book called, “Daring Greatly.”  Start reading and plan to be there for a great discussion.
 
YOUTH GROUP IN NOVEMBER! Our youth group will meet in Friendship Hall Sunday, November 17th from 5-7pm.  We’ll eat, play games, plan our Bible studies and play some music.  Bring a friend.  Questions?  Call Karen or Chris Heritage.
 
COMMUNITY SHARING DONATIONS Thank you for your contributions to Community Sharing. In November, we collected 80 pounds of food; in 2019, we have collected 1038 pounds of food, which is 69 pounds more than last year.  Let’s try to give at least 100 pounds of food on Sunday, Dec 1st!
 
BUDDHIST TALK ON GRATITUDE Tulku Jigme Rinpoche, Tibetan Buddhist Meditation and Philosophy Teacher, Founder and Director of the Palmo Center for Peace and Education in Cottage Grove, will offer a public talk on Gratitude, Friday, November 22, 6pm in Friendship Hall.
 
CHRISTMAS WREATH SALES to support farm workers and members of Mujeres Luchadores Progresistas (Women Striving for Progress.) The wreaths are hand-tied and made of fresh Oregon noble fir, decorated with holly sprigs, pine cones and a red bow. They are approximately 24”-26” in diameter and cost $35 each.  Checks can be made out to MLP. Deadline is Sunday, December 1.  Wreath delivery on Sunday, December 8.  Please sign-up in Friendship Hall. 
 
BEDS FOR FREEZING NIGHTS needs volunteers!   The shelter will open at Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPH) Catholic Church when the average temperature drops below 29 degrees from Nov. 15 – Mar. 31. Two volunteers are needed to staff the shelter between the hours of 6:00pm - 8:00am. For more information, please see the website at www.freezingnights.com
 
CHRISTMAS TREASURES SALE November 15 from 9:00am-5:00pm and November 16 from 9:00am-3:00pm.  Sale at Trinity Lutheran Church on 6th and Quincy in Cottage Grove.  Proceeds benefit Transportation Costs for South Valley Resource Alliance.
 
FREE COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING DINNER on Thanksgiving Day, November 28th from 11:00am-2:00pm.  Meals served onsite only at Trinity Lutheran Church, local delivery available for shut ins. For more information call 541-942-2373 by Wednesday November 27 at 2pm.
 
DISASTER RELIEF FOR U.S. WILDFIRES If you would like to contribute to California Wildfire Relief, you can donate through the church to Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, Account #DR000165.  To give by phone, call 800-872-3283.
