YOUTH GROUP IN OCTOBER! Our youth group will meet in Friendship Hall tonight, October 27th from 5-7pm.  We’ll eat, play games, plan our Bible studies and play some music.  Bring a friend.  Questions?  Call Karen or Chris Heritage.
GAME NIGHT on Friday November 1st at 7:00pm. Bring a favorite game to share if you have one and a finger –food snack to share.  Bring some friends along, the more the merrier!! Do you need a ride? Please call Sandie Moniz, 541-767-3321. This fun night is sponsored by the Parish Life and Hospitality Committee hope to see you there.
FALL BACK, FALL BACK! Daylight Savings ends next Sunday morning – you get an extra hour of sleep and there’s an All Saints Day potluck.  What could be better???
ALL SAINTS DAY CELEBRATION On Sunday, November 3rd, we’ll celebrate together All Saints Day – those in the church triumphant and those in our lives now.  You are invited to bring photos or meaningful objects which help remind you of your loved ones.  We’ll display them in the sanctuary.  After worship, we’ll have a brunch potluck and share memories and stories.  Please, bring a dish to share. 
SUMMER CAMP FOR ALL AGES Come to an informational meeting to learn more about spending a week at Holden Village in Chelan, Washington next summer.  Tom Partridge and Colleen Stewart will tell us about their trip last summer – if you’d like a week filled with great speakers, evening prayer and activities for all ages, please come on Sunday, October 27th in the Parlor at 11:15am.
DEMENTIA CARE PARTNER Information Sessions with Judy Sieber, RN. These sessions will help you understand some of what to expect with dementia, and how to be on the lookout for signs of your own stress and when to seek support.  Classes start Friday November 1st at 11:00 am and go through November 15th. They will be held at The Health Hub here in Cottage Grove.  For more information, see flyer near the calendars in the hall or call 541-915-6349.

STEWARDSHIP SUNDAY IS COMING!  Please plan to return your pledge card with your commitment to support the church financially in 2020 on Sunday, November 10th.  We are so grateful for the many gifts of time and talent and treasure, and they ways they make the mission and ministry of First Presbyterian Church possible.  Please help make a difference in our community and our world through your "faithful generosity."  If you need a pledge card, there are extras available in the Narthex. 
START YOUR READING!  The Book Group meets again on Sunday, December 1st from 3-5pm in Friendship Hall.  We are reading Brene’ Brown’s book called, “Daring Greatly: How the Courage to Be Vulnerable Transforms the Way We Live, Love, Parent and Lead.”  Start reading and plan to be there for a great discussion.
