Get Involved - current consultations

Representatives for young people, and parents of children, lacking mental capacity

We want your views. Welsh Government is currently consulting on proposals to allow representatives to act on behalf of young people, and parents of children, who lack mental capacity, when exercising their rights under the Additional Learning Needs and Education Tribunal (Wales) Act 2018.

for the National Social Care 2020 Digital Conference

We are excited to announce that our annual national conference will go ahead online.

The event will focus on recognising the extraordinary efforts of social workers and care workers who've continued to provide critical care and support throughout the covid pandemic; and on looking ahead to re-stabilising the sector, taking forward positive new practices and working together to build care services fit for the future.

British-made Facial recognition 3Ply machine washable Facemasks

During the last 3 months, Trevor Palmer who runs Welsh company GL100 Services has developed and  tested the GL100 Face Recognition facemask.
Trevor is a citizen member of the National Citizens Panel for Social Care Wales and is a disabled person and a Director of Disability Wales. His interests for all people to be able to communicate fairly inspired him to develop a mask enabling facial recognition which benefits lip readers and others.


This month, Get Safe Online launches its ‘Auto Fraud’ campaign. 

Whether buying or selling a car, van, truck, motorcycle or other vehicle online, this month's campaign highlights our expert safety checklists.

Get Safe Online is unique resource providing practical advice on how to protect people, particularly vulnerable adults, from online issues such as fraud.


SCIE Report: Beyond COVID - new thinking on the future of adult social care

A new SCIE report for commissioners and senior managers working in the health and social care sector sets out their findings.
