Summer fun and activities with Sussex Clubs for Young People

At Sussex Clubs for Young People we have had a very busy summer programme of providing activities for young people in Mid-Sussex, Steyning Downland Scheme, Bentswood Fun Day as well as Purple Bus and Streetmate activities. They have come along to our youth clubs and taken part in T-shirt painting, arts and crafts, DJ workshops and playing games to name just of the few activities that were on offer.

For young people aged between 14 to 19 years of age with leadership experience, we offered them the opportunity of participating in subsidised Young Leader training events to help them enhance their leadership skills and develop their involvement in their groups and clubs.

Youth Hang-Out goes from Strength to Strength

By Stephanie Powell - Sussex Clubs for Young People.
Thank you to everybody who shared our social media posts or read about the youth club in this magazine and promoted us to others. As a result we had a lovely influx of new members coming in July as well as our existing members going on annual summer camp, so July was an exciting month for Hassocks Youth Hangout.

Our taster sessions included a DJ Workshop, smoothie making and skate park hangout as well as a graffiti art workshop. The feedback young people gave was extremely positive and they are excited to return when we start up again on Wednesday 18th September.
