Institute for Youth Work Conference 2019
Making Waves in Youth Work- Saturday 2nd March University of Brighton

This year’s IYW conference is taking place in Brighton, it will be an opportunity to both celebrate Youth Work Week and our conference theme: coastal youth work.   The conference is being co-hosted by the University of Brighton, and consequently one of the aims of the conference is to create a short paper on the unique nature of coastal youth work. The day will also be an opportunity for coastal Youth Workers to network, reflect and share their great practice, although youth workers from anywhere in the country are of course extremely welcome to be part of the conversation.

West Sussex County Council
Children and Families Engagement Strategy!

You’re invited to take part in an opportunity to work together and share ideas for the West Sussex County Council Children and Families engagement strategy action plan 2019-2020

We need your input!

For the engagement strategy to have real impact, it is important that everyone who works in the local authority and involves the views of children, young people and families in planning, design and delivery of services can contribute. Equally, we need people attending who have the passion and ability to take these changes in the action plan forward within their own departments, agencies and organisations. The workshops in this series are for young people, services users and staff who support this work, so we can make sure a range of ideas are woven into the action plan.
We have two venues, each with two time slots:
