We hope that you are all keeping well during this long lockdown, thank goodness the
weather has been good, until today that is!

COVID-19 has changed the way many of us work and if you are not furloughed, being able to
continue to work from home enables us not only to stay safe and well, but to keep in touch with everyone. Whilst we can't be there physically with you, we will continue to bring you our latest
news, and that from around the county.

We would love to hear your stories of how you are surviving lockdown, if you have been able to keep in touch with your team and young people. Drop us a line to
member.services@sussexcyp.org.ukwe would love to hear from you.

Stay safe and stay well.

Our Work with Young People

Young people are an essential voice that should be heard. They’re tomorrow’s service users and the workforce of the future. We actively seek their views and opinions, and support them to ‘have their say’ and ‘their voices heard’.

We do this in several ways:

  • Attending school assemblies or school meetings and classes
  • Visiting youth clubs and groups
  • Running activity sessions at youth events
  • Running activity sessions at family/community events
  • Involving young people in our day-to-day work through our volunteering roles

We’ve developed this resource pack for young people to find out more about our work and to get involved. The pack can also be used by youth leaders, teachers and others who work with young people to support young people’s physical and mental well-being, and to test out new ideas and assumptions about supporting them. Sign up to receive the youth pack here.
