IT'S NOT OVER...

FROM THE CHAIR
Dear Radnor friends,

I hope everyone is enjoying the remaining days of the summer season.

Just when we thought the national political landscape couldn’t get any more concerning and confounding, it has. The tragic events of the past few weeks are understandably occupying our collective consciousness and are hard to ignore. While I urge each and every one of us to honor our inner advocate and do whatever we can to call attention to these critical issues our country is facing, I also want to draw your attention to ways you can make a difference in the political landscape right here, and right now, in both Radnor Township and Delaware County.

There are only 79 days remaining until we can effect historic change in the composition of governmental leadership in our own backyard. Thanks to your incredible turnout and support for our candidates in the Radnor Municipal Primary on May 21, you were able to set the stage for continued Democratic leadership of our school district and township. Hopefully even more noteworthy will be the historic transfer of county government to Democratic leadership for the first time in 144 years, and the first election of Democratic county judges and district attorney in over a century. At a time when we feel thwarted to some extent in our ability to enact our Democratic policies at the state and federal level, we do have an opportunity in 2019 to do that where it often matters even more; in county and township government.

In the next week or two, there will be another big Get Out The Vote mailing and canvassing effort by our exceptionally qualified local Democratic candidates. They are humble and hardworking, and not taking anything in November for granted. The Pennsylvania Republican leadership has made it clear that they are redoubling their efforts in our state and are going to do whatever they can to register and turn out more Republican voters.

Our local Democratic candidates need your vote this fall in the General Election and encourage you to bring other like-minded people to the polls as well. In addition to needing your November 5th vote, your financial and logistical support in this last phase of their campaigns is critical. Please join forces with us. Attend our upcoming events. Contact us to lend a hand. Make a donation. We are so grateful for your support.

And most of all, be a part of making historic governmental change in November right here in Radnor and Delaware County.

Democratically yours,
George Badey
Chair, Radnor Democratic Committee
