Chair George Badey, Vice Chair Tsiwen Law, Treasurer Rob Armstrong, Secretary Danielle Kleinman

A Note from the Chair:
Dear Radnor Democrats,

We are fast approaching the rescheduled PA Primary Election on Tuesday, June 2nd.

The good news is that Pennsylvania law changed last year to permit no-excuse needed mail-in voting. The Radnor Democratic Committee is recommending that everyone apply NOW for a mail in ballot.

The bad news is that Primary Election Day in Radnor is going to be more complicated for "in person” voting. That is why we are doing a “mail in” ballot push.  Complications are due to the pandemic, as there could be a shortage of poll workers due to understandable COVID concerns.  Radnor (and elsewhere too) could also be forced to consolidate polling locations due to these worker shortages and not having access to some of our regular locations because of the difficulty in providing social distancing.

Delaware County is urging us to immediately help them get a firmer estimate of how many people are willing to work the polls.  "Working the polls" in this case means being in the voting area to help facilitate voting.  We are not looking for poll greeters at this time.  Any registered voter is eligible to work.  Training will be available (more details on that to come) and poll workers will receive payment from the county for their services.
If you are currently a Radnor poll worker, I, George Badey, will be reaching out to you separately to see if you are still planning to work.  If you are NOT a regular poll worker but would like to work to help address the shortage, please click here to sign up ASAP.

Please note: Our next virtual Radnor Democratic Committee meeting will be this coming Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at 7PM. For security reasons, we are asking everyone to register if you plan on attending. You can register right up until the meeting starts.

Here is the Zoom information to register and join the meeting: .

If you have any questions about Zoom, please call the RDC Recording Secretary, Danielle Kleinman at 484-433-1814. If you have any other questions, please call my cell at 215-467-1894.

This RDC meeting on Wednesday will be very informative. We will not only have our regular reports from our Radnor Commissioners and School Board, as well as Elaine Schaefer, our County Council member, but we will also hear from special guests Ashley Lunkenheimer, a member of the Delaware County Board of Elections, and Christine Reuther, the County Council member who has been tasked with navigating these unprecedented June election issues. The Radnor Democratic Committee members will also be considering endorsements of candidates.  See the complete agenda here.

It should be an interesting and informative meeting and I look forward to your joining us.

Democratically yours,
George Badey
Chair, Radnor Democratic Committee

These are uncertain times for all of us. With the election fast approaching, I wanted to take a minute to inform you all about a new program accessible to all Pennsylvanians: vote by mail. Thanks to a new law passed in 2019, Pennsylvania now has no-excuse mail-in voting. That means you can get your ballot mailed to your home -- no need to go to your polling place. This process takes about two minutes, but it can be complicated, so we're going to walk you through step-by-step instructions on how to request your mail-in ballot.

If you have a valid Pennsylvania driver's license or photo ID: you can apply for your mail-in ballot online at You'll be asked three questions: are you a military or overseas voter, will you be absentee from your home on the date of the election, and do you have an illness or physical disability. This is to determine whether a mail-in or absentee ballot is right for you. If you answer "yes" to any of these questions, you will be directed to apply for an absentee ballot. If you answer "no" to all, you will be able to apply for a mail-in ballot.
