We are in unprecedented times. The PA Primary Election is still scheduled for June 2nd, although it is still possible that it will be pushed back again, possibly into July. Regardless, it appears that Covid-19 is not just going to 'magically disappear' anytime soon. We must be prepared to help facilitate and maximize mail-in voter turnout for the Primary, knowing that we will likely be facing similar obstacles in November, when the future of our nation will be on the line.
The primary focus of our meeting will be discussing the upcoming primary, how we will staff it, and how we will use it as a dry-run to execute a massive mail-in voting strategy (see MEETING AGENDA).
If you have a valid PA driver's license or photo ID, you can apply for your mail-in ballot online. You'll be asked three questions: (1) are you a military or overseas voter, (2) will you be absent from your home on the date of the election, and (3) do you have an illness or physical disability. This is to determine whether a mail-in or absentee ballot is right for you. If you answer "yes" to any of these questions, you will be directed to apply for an absentee ballot. If you answer "no" to all, you will be able to apply for a mail-in ballot.
The mail-in issues, poll worker staffing during the Covid-19 pandemic, and strategic tactics surrounding getting the vote out will be the primary purpose of and discussion at our RDC meeting.
I look forward to seeing plenty of Radnor Dems on 'Zoom' tomorrow night.
Democratically yours,
George Badey

These are uncertain times for all of us. With the election fast approaching, I wanted to take a minute to inform you all about a new program accessible to all Pennsylvanians: vote by mail. Thanks to a new law passed in 2019, Pennsylvania now has no-excuse mail-in voting. That means you can get your ballot mailed to your home -- no need to go to your polling place. This process takes about two minutes, but it can be complicated, so we're going to walk you through step-by-step instructions on how to request your mail-in ballot.
If you have a valid Pennsylvania driver's license or photo ID: you can apply for your mail-in ballot online at www.votespa.com/ApplyMailBallot. You'll be asked three questions: are you a military or overseas voter, will you be absentee from your home on the date of the election, and do you have an illness or physical disability. This is to determine whether a mail-in or absentee ballot is right for you. If you answer "yes" to any of these questions, you will be directed to apply for an absentee ballot. If you answer "no" to all, you will be able to apply for a mail-in ballot.
