MAIL IN BALLOT CONFUSION
Many Radnor Democrats who put their mail-in ballot in the drop box have still not received notification that their ballot has been received. I contacted Delco officials late this afternoon and they are very well aware of this problem. First, please know that if you followed the instructions (used both envelopes properly and filled out and signed the outside envelope and used a Delco drop box) then Delco has your ballot. Delco has had zero problems with drop boxes.
There were apparently some problems when they were processing the ballots however, and they are conducting a manual work around right now to make sure all mail in ballots are properly recorded as having been received. They expect to be finished by no later than noon tomorrow (Election Day). Please use the link below tomorrow morning to check whether your ballot was marked recorded. If the status is not listed as “Vote Recorded” by noon, then proceed to your polling place and tell the Judge of Elections you want to vote provisionally. You should write in the reason for voting provisionally “I returned my ballot in the drop box but it is still not listed online as having been received.” Later on, if your mail in vote is recorded, then the provisional ballot will not be counted. If your mail in ballot never gets recorded, then your provisional ballot will be counted. Here is the link.

ISSUES AT YOUR POLLING PLACE
We do not expect that there will be violence, voter intimidation or fraudulent activity in Radnor tomorrow. The news media has made much of this possibility in other locales, but Radnor has a history of peaceful elections. Of course there may be disputes or isolated incidents, and if anything occurs which you feel is improper, please report it to your committee-person, election board or poll greeter, and we will promptly address it.
POST ELECTION TOTALS AND INFORMATION
Due to the pandemic, this will be the first general election (for me) where I’m not at a post-election in-person gathering since I was a little kid in the 1960’s. It is going to be strange to sit home and watch the returns on TV. But rest assured, just like every other election, by Wednesday morning I will have numbers and as soon as I can analyze them, I will be sending out a Radnor Democratic Newsletter to report on how we, the Radnor Democrats, helped to win Pennsylvania for Joe Biden. There is no doubt in my mond that we will deliver a big win in Radnor – but we must run up the score. After Election Day there may also be other events, possibly a demonstration/march in Media on Wednesday afternoon, but hopefully, Donald Trump will be so soundly defeated all across our great nation that there will be no doubt about the outcome.
Please keep your mask on and stay physically (not socially) distanced while at the polls and around others.
Let’s win tomorrow.
Democratically yours,
George Badey
Chair, Radnor Democratic Committee
