Chair George Badey, Vice Chair Tsiwen Law, Treasurer Rob Armstrong, Secretary Danielle Kleinman
Dear Radnor Democrats,
This Wednesday, December 16, 2020, we will be having our monthly Radnor Democratic Committee meeting starting at 7:00 p.m. on Zoom.
This is the first December in a while that we have not had our RDC holiday party, as COVID-19 has also shut that down. We are now in the annual ‘holiday lull’ in political activities, but we’re grateful, as we await the inauguration of President-Elect Biden and Vice-President-Elect Harris on January 20th. While the damage Trump caused will linger for decades, for now, we must focus on the positive and look forward to helping elect two Democrats to the US Senate from Georgia in the January 5th runoffs, and also to the important elections coming up later in 2021. It is widely acknowledged that these odd-numbered election years, in which we elect judges, and county and municipal leaders, often have a more direct impact upon our every-day lives. In 2021, we will be conducting the following elections:
  • Statewide: One PA Supreme Court justice and several statewide appellate judges.
  • Delaware County: row offices, two county council seats and an as-yet uncertain number of common pleas court judgeships.
  • Radnor Township: Commissioners in Wards 2, 4 and 6, four School Board seats, Treasurer, Constable, and District Judge (in Wards 4, 5 and 7)
  • Ward Level: Judge and Inspector of Elections in each of Radnor’s 15 precincts.
At our upcoming meeting we expect to have at least three candidates for common pleas judge visit and chat with us, and possibly a few other candidates for other offices too. We hope to hear from our commissioners and school board as well. I look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday, and if you cannot make it, please accept my best wishes for a happy and healthy holiday season and New Year.
Democratically yours,
George Badey
Chair, Radnor Democratic Committee
