We're back in the swing at OLG!
It's been a busy month and a half, and this newsletter is being published to let you know what's going on and what's coming up at our school. Just as a reminder, you can go to our website for blue folder notes, the calendar, our Facebook link, teacher pages, etc. http://olgmariners.org
Also in this edition, there is a Family Fun Puzzle. Complete the puzzle, turn it in and your student(s) will be entered into a drawing for a FREE DRESS PASS! Drawing will be held Friday, October 12th. Don't miss out!

County Fair and Art Show
The County Fair is coming up and we will have an art display as usual, but this year the rules have changed and we are limited in how much we can display.
We will have our OLG Fall Art Show, and all art work by the students will be on display in the gym the week of Oct 22nd for everyone to enjoy. The art will be showcased at the HSA meeting Oct. 23rd.

Life on Board
Science Adventures
Our middle school students continue to take monthly field trips to the Outdoor Classroom at Little Chocolate Bayou Park to study how the park changes throughout the year.
In an exciting new development, the 8th grade science class is visiting Bayfront Park this year to conduct experiments and potentially create some educational materials for the public on preserving our natural resources.
