On the agenda for the first time, UN internship reform will be discussed by Member States at the 73rd Session of the General Assembly in New York. The UN is notorious for not paying its interns, yet soon things may change. How did it get to this? Well, this moment has been a long time coming.                                                               Read more about it, here

Preparation or predation? Students share their experience with unpaid internships

When students take unpaid internships, some struggle to stay financially afloat, while others are fortunate enough to have financial support.

Building a resume through valuable experience at an internship is a necessity for students to thrive in their career. At the same time, unpaid internships can prevent students from prospering.                                                                                                                                                          Find the full article here

Seminar: Climate Change in Costal Crisis

People living in coastal cities around the world face great risks from the impacts of climate change. In the developing world, these often combine with the challenges of urban development and overcoming poverty and sharp inequalities into a particularly difficult set of tasks for local policy makers. While they often focus on large infrastructural measures and coastal defenses, integrated and inclusive solutions that tackle not only people’s exposure to hazards, but also social vulnerabilities and their root causes, are also needed.
