Leader of UNAIDS Agency to Step Down After Damning Review

The director of the United Nations agency that combats AIDS said Thursday he will step down next year, an announcement that came days after a panel of experts issued a damning review of a leadership style it said had enabled harassment and bullying.

Michel Sidibé, the executive director of the agency, UNAIDS, was due to hold office until January 2020, but he told a meeting of the organization’s governing board in Geneva that he would complete his duties at the end of June.

NSW LAbor to end exploitative unpaid internships

The NSW Labor opposition will ban "exploitative" unpaid internships if it wins government next year, as it looks to sharpen its appeal to young workers before the state election.

Under a Labor government, businesses would be required to pay interns when they are hired for roles longer than two weeks that are not connected to a course of study.

Labor Leader Michael Daley said the policy aimed to close a legal loophole exploited by some employers to fill entry-level jobs using free labour, while preserving "legitimate" internship programs.

GIA Permanent Deal with Pekin Palace

Hello everyone!

After Pekin Palace hosted us last Monday for the GIA Dinner, we got many good comments from the restaurant and they were happy with the outcome.

So we thought that ALWAYS having a 10% discount on the whole menu (including drinks, desserts and even "Plat du Jour") would be a great idea. Now just by showing your GIA Wristband you'll be able to go to Pekin Palace and have a discount, great news, right?
