The fourth European Vocational Skills Week took place from 14-18 October 2019. Key events and activities took place in Helsinki, organised in close cooperation with the Finnish Presidency of the Council of the EU.
Key events and activities during the Week included discussions on ‘VET for ALL – Skills for life’, our main theme this year. They highlighted the accessibility of VET and its lifelong learning value, and there was a celebration of the excellence in VET through the series of Awards that were conferred. All of this, combined with a wide variety of immersive discussions and networking opportunities for attendees!
Check out the Daily Highlights from the Week for a summary of the events and activities that took place in both Helsinki and at local, regional and national level. You can also see updates on the dedicated Facebook event page.
A variety of national opening events were also being held in other EU Member States, candidate countries and EFTA/EEA countries, along with hundreds of VET-related events and activities at local and regional level, that associated with the Week. With over 1500 events, 45 countries with registered activities, and 2.5 million people reached, the event has never been bigger!
No matter how large or small the event, the size of the budget or footfall, as long as the event is taking place during 2019 it can still be registered on the European Vocational Skills Week 2019 website.
