With your support, the Center for Court Innovation is helping change attitudes toward survivors of human trafficking. We are encouraging courts and communities to take a new approach to handling prostitution-related offenses—seeing these defendants as victims rather than criminals.
We are working with Judge Catherine Pratt from Los Angeles and others who are helping exploited youth get their lives back on track. As Judge Pratt explains, “These girls have been victimized by their families. They have been abused by exploiters who have sold them on the street.”
