Dear Yoginis,

With love for you all in my heart I share with you this final newsletter of 2020. I trust and hope that you are finding ways to nurture yourself in these demanding times. Even five minutes of quiet with a warm drink held in your hands, or a short yoga nidra can make all the difference!  I share today the guidance to 'Be Excessively Gentle With Yourself': this is such a beautiful blessing, that I often share at the end of a yoga nidra in our Yoni Shakti Well Woman courses - I felt it was timely to remind us all to take good care of ourselves. It has been an extraordinary year and exhaustion can be cumulative, rest can renew us! It's a good time to review and reconsider…

Celebration of our circles! Yoni Shakti Online 

In the spirit of reviewing and celebration I would like to put out a massive SHOUT of thanks to the magnificent team of yoginis and facilitators who made the first Yoni Shakti Well Woman Course online such a success. For nine days in December over fifty women from all over the world gathered together on zoom with a team held safe and anchored by Virginia Compton, and with brilliant contributions from Sivani Mata Francis, Yoli Maya Yeh, Lucy Crisfield and Cecilia Allon. We covered everything from Sanskrit chanting and yoga for social justice to Plastic Free Periods and heartfelt chants and dances for the deep feminine. As well as being part of the vibrant big circle, each participant was also held safe and nestled within our smaller shakti circles, facilitated by a team of superb yoginis, including Tara, Maren and Rachel Daya

It was a nourishing and powerfully transformative experience as you can see from the feedback and we are delighted to announce that we will be offering this course in a refined and improved format (less Zoom time and more videos and material to engage with at your own pace) that runs over nine nights and nine months. Sharing the platform… 

I am always impressed and delighted by the many unique and powerful ways that the Yoni Shakti support and inspire the work of so many different women. It is such an upliftment and encouragement to share the work of others we admire - maybe you noticed that my IG and FB feeds during November and December were 'taken over' by a team of five impressive educators and healers? With the help of our brilliant social media maven Jessica Healy,  I was honoured to share my social media platform with Diahann Holder, Nehanda Truscott Reid, Kallie Schutt, Yoli Maya Yeh and Nina Haley - each woman took a week of posts to share her work through our platforms. 

This 'shared platform' will continue throughout 2021, with different themes and perspectives being revealed by different women. If you have done training courses with me in the past, and would like to share the work you are doing for the upliftment of and support of women and girls, please get in touch and let us know what you are up to and maybe we can work together to share this platform?
 
Book clubs and circles

The Yoni Shakti Book Club has been a truly heartwarming experience that I look forward to repeating in 2021. We are now heading towards the third and final week of the second book club, and I invite any of you who have enjoyed reading Yoni Shakti and have an interest in sharing and discussing the ideas with other readers and with myself - to consider joining us for the next Bookclub. I'm also glad to be continuing with the full moon circles which offer a friendly and supportive to way to share practices of nurture and nourishment with all who gather together - yoga nidra first of course! The next full moon circle is this afternoon and the Liberate Your Yoga webinar is also on offer as a way to explore putting the teachings of Yoni Shakti into practice for you!

Yoni Shakti: Well Woman Yoga Therapy Online Immersion
This course
gives you everything you need to know to start making friends with your menstrual cycle. It includes key yoga therapy practices for each phase of the menstrual cycle, with deep relaxation practices to nourish your well-being, and friendly chats to share top tips and hints to live in harmony with your cycle.

Total Yoga Nidra Online Immersion Experience
This course covers a combination of theory and practice to give you a sound foundation (or to deepen your existing foundation) of understanding about what yoga nidra is in the broadest sense, and how it works. To get a feel for the course, how about trying a one-hour taster session?

Sleep Well with Total Yoga Nidra

1-1 sessions with Uma

There are some different ways that I can support you in 1-1 sessions:
 

1. Listening and mentoring (30 minutes or 1 hour sessions)
Sometimes what is needed is just time to be HEARD - I can listen in to where you are, and provide mentoring for personal and professional issues. We can do these sessions on the phone or via Zoom.

2. Co-creating a Total Yoga Nidra practice to support where you are in your life (one hour session) 
This session starts with a fifteen minute sharing, followed by a 30 minute yoga nidra practice tailored especially for your requirements at this time, and then we have time to reflect and orient before the end of the session. 

3. Yoga therapy session (1 hour session).  
This session starts with a fifteen minute sharing, followed by a 30 minute yoga therapy practice tailored especially for your requirements at this time, and then we have time to reflect and orient and consider how to implement this in your life before the end of the session.

4. Motherpeace Tarot Reading (30 minute session for short questions, or 1 hour session available for longer enquiries)  
This session starts with a tuning into the cards, asking the question you are wanting to ask, and then is followed by time for me to spread and read the cards for you. I work mostly by sharing back to you the questions that the cards indicate would be helpful for you to reflect upon.  

5. Motherpeace Total Yoga Nidra Session (one hour session)
This session starts with a tuning into the cards, asking the question you are wanting to ask, and then is followed by time for me to spread and read the cards for you. I then invite you to get ready for the yoga nidra and share a 30 minute practice with you that shares all the questions that the cards indicate would be helpful for you to reflect upon, in the format of a Total Yoga Nidra Practice.
