City Sunset: January 31
New things are happening at UUCA! The City will sunset on January 31st. In early January, we're creating a new UUCA calendar on the website. And beginning in February, we're launching a new communications platform. In the coming weeks, look for announcements about transitioning your giving from the City to Access UUCA, and news about the calendar and platform. Nicole Pressley, our Communications Director, will be hosting a Communications Summit in late February. Look out for the date in the Weekly Update.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. March and Rally
Monday, January 21st
1:00 pm -5:00 pm

In 2017 we marched for equity and social justice. In 2018 we rallied to bring our power to the polls. This year, we mobilize to use our strength to create a lasting impact and honor those who have come before us. In 2019, the anniversary of the Atlanta March for Social Justice and Women coincides with the annual Atlanta Martin Luther King Jr. March. Because the Georgia Alliance for Social Justice, founded upon the Kingian Principles, wishes to contribute to the celebrations of Dr. King’s life and legacy, we are not holding a Women’s March in Atlanta in 2019. We invite you to march with us on Monday, January 21 to celebrate our anniversary at the Atlanta Annual Martin Luther King Jr. March.

Martin Luther King, Jr., March and Rally assembles at 1 p.m. at Peachtree Street and Baker Street, and the march begins at 1:45 p.m. Free.

Making Wiser Decisions

Through her online ministry, The Way of the River, UUCA’s Community Minister, Rev. Catharine Clarenbach, offers a month-long, online course, Making Hard Choices: The Art of Discernment. All of us face tough choices when we’re in transition, when we’re charting a new course in our lives, or when circumstances have let us know it’s time to move on from where we are now to an unknown future.
