Let's bring in the children!

We have had a wonderful time seeing so many familiar faces and meeting new friends as we have traveled this year. The churches we've visited and people we've seen have been very generous. We are so grateful!

Now that the building is finished and licensed, and the paperwork is in the hands of the government for registration, we have been raising money so that we will be ready to BRING IN THE CHILDREN! We are expecting to get approval in January, hire staff in February, and be ready to receive children (from social workers, police, or hospital staff) in March 2023!

We would like to start out with enough cash on hand to cover the full cost of the children's home for 6 months. We have estimated that it will cost $250/child/month to run the home. This includes food, staff salaries, utilities, diapers, clothes, preschool supplies, medications, and everything included in running a household. So, based on 32 children ages 0-5:

1 month = $8,000
6 months = $48,000

raised so far = $27,100
total left to raise = $20,900

If you haven't yet had an opportunity to give toward our first year's budget, your time is now! Giving Tuesday is a great time to jump in with an online gift since all processing fees are waived for donations to NPOs.
