Flower arrangement can be enjoyable with simplicity. We learn about seasonal flower arrangement (chabana 茶花) for the Japanese tea ceremony. In this class, we will discuss and demonstrate the Chabana arrangement while learning about local seasonal flowers and how to use them. We will arrange with a bundle of wildflowers and create a simple arrangement of Chabana. This class will help you to create your own Chabana flower arrangement in a modern lifestyle. At the end of class, you will join the authentic Japanese tea ceremony and decorate your Chabana at the alcove area (tokonoma 床の間) to appreciate it. The seasonal sweets will be served with a bowl of matcha.
