We are pleased to announce that we will hold ceramic exhibition by Mako Nishimori, New York based Japanese artist.
Nishimori has owned ceramic school, Togei Kyoshitsu of NY, since 1994 in New York. There are more than 1,500 students in total that have learned various Japanese techniques both in hand building and wheel throwing class. Nishimori has held and joined numerous ceramic exhibitions and group shows. This exhibition will be a special opportunity to enjoy Nishimori's latest artworks.
Opening reception will be held on Friday, November 9th from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. No reservation required. Please join us to talk with the artist and enjoy a bowl of matcha.
During this exhibition, "Tōcha" tea ceremony with Nishimori’s artworks will be held on Sunday, November 11th from 11 am and on Thursday, November 15th from 6:30 pm. Please kindly note that the seats for the tea ceremony are limited, so please register early. Thank you.
