A Novena of Masses

in honor of

December 8th to 16th, 2021

“Pray the Rosary every day in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary to obtain peace in the world ... for she alone can save it.” (Our Lady at Fatima, July 13, 1917)

For over 500 years the Order of Preachers (Dominicans) have been entrusted with and promote the Rosary Confraternity. If you are not yet a member of the Rosary Confraternity, please join us. There are already untold legions of prayer warriors waiting to join their prayers with yours.

Some of our apostolates include prison ministry, distribution of Rosaries and pamphlets to the missions, and support for the education of Dominican student brothers (seminarians) and for the care of infirm and elderly Dominican Friars. As examples, we sent over 20,000 Rosaries to the missions last year, and there are 40 student brothers in formation, whom we support, because they are our future Preachers and Promoters of the Rosary.

We offer these Novenas of Masses for the intentions of all the members and supporters of the Rosary Confraternity. We pray for and remember at Mass all the souls of those whose names you have sent in throughout the month of November. This Light & Life Newsletter is sent electronically to all those that want to receive it, anywhere in the world, for free. Our goal is to lead souls to Christ, that they might be saved.

As mendicants (beggars), we follow the directives of our Savior, "Go your way; behold, I send you out as lambs in the midst of wolves. Carry no purse, no bag, no sandals;" Luke 10:3,4a RSV

We rely completely on the generosity of those we serve to help us carry out our apostolates. Our building is also in great need of repair.

In light of this, we ask you to remember us on Giving Tuesday, which is November 30 this year. Of course, we would appreciate a donation on any day!

We are requesting you participate fully in the Novena by:
1) Making at least a Spiritual Communion each day during the Novena, and
2) By praying the Novena Prayer and Rosary each day during the Novena.
Spiritual Communion: My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most Blessed Sacrament. I love You above all things and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot now receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there, and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.
