Witness is the main gathering for 3CYouth. The goal is to Witness God's love and grace through faith, fun, friends. Our night features games, worship, the Word, squads (based on grade/gender), and recreation. This Wednesday, MS Witness begins the Let's Talk series. HS Witness completes the series on Sunday, February 5.
Saturdays at 5:00pm & Sundays at 10:45am
Immerse is where we "immerse ourselves in truth and community" through teaching and discussion at tables. Our current series in Immerse is Jesus Stories. In this series, Immerse leaders teach on their favorite Bible stories about Jesus.

Immerse does not meet this upcoming weekend (Feb 4-5)
so that students can participate in communion with their families.
Saturdays at 8:00am at Wake & Take Coffee
SOAP JOURNALING offers students the opportunity to become more familiar with God's Word by reading throughout the week, doing the SOAP method, then sharing together over some tasty coffee and treats! For more information on SOAP Journaling, contact Pastor Mickayla at mparrack@coloradocommunity.org.
UNITED WEEKEND • FEBRUARY 24-26
United Weekend is an event designed to expose Denver-area teens to the life-changing Gospel of Jesus Christ. This year our focus is Not Okay, as in it's okay to be not okay. We're going to spend the weekend equipping teens to depend on Jesus and each other to grow from all life's difficulties and struggles. Click below for more info!

This past week in High School Witness, we continued in our series about sexual intimacy called Let's Talk. Here are some questions to think through with your kiddo(s):
  • Why did Adam and Eve immediately hide after eating from the tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil?
  • Why do we hide from God?
  • Why are God's standards on sexual intimacy hard to receive?
Immerse began a new series this past weekend called Jesus Stories. Our leader Gina taught on Jesus and prayer. Here are some follow up questions based on Matthew 6:5-15:
  • Is it easier for you to pray in private or in public?
  • If God knows what I want, then why do I have to ask?
  • What exactly is "God's reward?" when it comes to praying in private?

Hello!

This lovely group of gals (plus or minus some others as well) has been meeting together since the start of the school year to learn how to engage with scripture through SOAP Journaling. We all roll into Wake and Take coffee between 7:45 and 8:10 on Saturday mornings. Most weeks we are in sweatpants and start with eyes half open. By the time the last of the caramel frappuccinos have been drunk, we have grown in our relationship with each other and God as we read and discuss scripture.

Saturday mornings have quickly become my favorite gathering. The beauty of it being at a coffee shop is that it doesn’t feel like there is as much pressure to have the correct answers; our students are able to come with their honest wonderings and discuss where they are at.

I know lots of us who have been around church for a long time maybe have not experienced the safety of a community like this. The Church in the United States values certainty. We feel like we have to have the right answers, we have to have our theology all figured out, and the questions make us uncomfortable. I want to give you the freedom to be curious. The freedom to converse with scripture with honest wonderings as well. The Bible is a book to be engaged with and mediated on. As we continue to engage and meditate, we are transformed closer into who God has created us to be.

SOAP Journaling is a great tool for teenagers but also can be very helpful for us adults too, if you haven’t tried it, I recommend giving it a shot. If you think your student might benefit from this type of community as well, we would love to have them drop by on a Saturday morning!

I am praying for you all as you continue to grow your relationship with Christ while you shepherd your teenagers in that direction.
