Spring 2022 | Issue No. 19

As I write this opening paragraph for our first newsletter for 2022, I am reminded that just a year ago we were all in some way experiencing fear and uncertainty due to COVID 19. At Hope House, I am amazed by our resilience and perseverance…we held the ship steady even with multiple COVID exposures and staff shortages. Fast forward to 2022, although several of the issues remain we have shed the weight of 2021 and reconnected with our passion through the crystalline lens of a new vision and mission! We are in a much better place, and we hope you are too!

Here are a few fun facts you will find in this Newsletter!

Special Events are coming back- We cannot wait to see you at the 2022 Annual Garden Party- Scheduled for June 21!  Erin has a full evening planned for our guests, great food, wonderful music, and inspiring speakers.

Bill Tiedemann, MSW
Executive Director

We are excited to announce that we will be hosting the Hope House Garden Party this June! Originally scheduled for last August, we postponed the event due to COVID-19 concerns. Instead, we partnered with Beaudry Filmworks on a video showcasing the new AIDS Memorial Garden. Now you can see it in-person!

During the event, you will learn more about how we are doing here at Hope House, in addition to seeing the dedication of the AIDS Memorial Garden – a project we have been working on for the past several years.
The AIDS Memorial Garden will serve in remembrance for those who we have lost in our community. If you would like more information or would like to support the installation and ongoing maintenance of the garden, please contact Erin McQuay.

Stories from Hope House
Thank You for Attending!

We would like to send warm thanks to everyone who participated in our events in February! First, we hosted a Townie Tuesday with our friends at Lift Bridge Brewery, with proceeds going straight to our programming. Second, we partnered with Lavender Magazine and the Stillwater Zephyr on the Ice Maze's Pride Night! Thank you all for such memorable evenings and we cannot wait to see you again at the next gathering.

Thank You Farrell's!

Hope House would like to send a big thank you to all the Farrell’s Stillwater member including owner Leslie Egen. For background, Hope House was chosen by Farrell’s FXB Stillwater to participate in the 2022 Charity Challenge, a national contest to win $5,000. Each year, franchise owners choose a local charity to support, in this annual event, charities compete against each other through 6 rounds of competition. Although we did not move pass Round 2, it was fun to educate gym members about Hope House and the good we have and continue to accomplish. Until next year Leslie and thank you to all the members of Farrell’s who supported us in the 2022 Charity Challenge. To learn more about our local Farrell’s go to
