The Institute of Waste Management of Southern Africa's (IWMSA's) Eastern Cape Branch is pleased to host the updated IWMSA Recognised Waste Management Training Programme.
The modules have been revised by professionals with extensive knowledge in waste management practices.
The training programme includes classroom discussions and debates which result in more interactive sessions and makes it possible for the facilitator to determine if the delegates understand the contents of the material. A certificate of understanding and attendance is issued afterwards.
The course is recognised by the IWMSA and our trainers are experienced, acknowledged experts who will provide your organisation with the highest quality training programmes ensuring effectiveness in achieving real performance improvement. The programme provides comprehensive coverage of basic waste management and would be valuable to all individuals responsible for any waste activity within their municipality or company.
*Please note that the course will only take place if we have a minimum of ten delegates.
**Please note that you will receive an e-mail confirming whether or not the training will take place one week prior to the scheduled training date.
The waste management field is ever changing. The IWMSA Eastern Cape Branch will be hosting this three day course to enable municipalities and companies to keep up to date with waste management legislation, policy, approaches, and technologies.
The topics presented will provide municipalities and companies with the necessary knowledge and information to successfully manage waste. In addition, delegates will have access to specialists in their respective disciplines.
The programme consists of several modules, which together amount to a coherent, comprehensive Waste Management Training Programme.
Please note that each module is also offered individually for those who wish to learn only about specific aspects of waste management.
These modules are:
Introduction to Integrated Waste Management;
Waste Management Planning;
The Responsible Handling of Waste throughout the Material Cycle;
Different Approaches towards the Rendering of Waste Management Services; and Beneficiation Opportunities.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
The course is aimed at those involved in the waste management industry.
