Division of Federal Programs Staff Announcements 

The Division of Federal Programs is announcing the following:
  • Ms. Gina King ( has joined the Title II, Part A team as program specialist.
  • Ms. Amy Song, Family-School Partnerships Program Manager, has accepted a position with Gwinnett County Public Schools and will be leaving GaDOE this month.  We wish Amy all the best in her new role!
Title III, Part A Immigrant Grants

FY20 Title III, Part A Immigrant Grants will be presented to the State Board of Education for review during their December 12, 2019 meeting.  LEAs receiving this grant will be able to access their grant award notice (GAN) on the portal on December 16, 2019 and begin budgeting for service delivery.  If you have questions, please contact Dr. Meg Baker, Title III Program Manager ( 
GCEL Conference 2020

The Georgia Compensatory Educational Leaders (GCEL), Inc. 35th Annual Conference, will be held at the Savannah Marriott Riverfront Hotel in Savannah, Georgia, on March 9-11, 2020.  Federal Programs staff from the Georgia Department of Education will be at the conference leading workshops on various topics.  Don’t miss this opportunity to learn and collaborate!  Register here:
