Last week the ABC (Accepting, Belonging, Community) club welcomed students as they entered the school in the morning with “hellos” and “good morning” greetings. The effort is an off-spring of the Sandy Hook Promise and is designed to help create a stronger sense of community and belonging. It was fun to watch the faces of students as the entered the building; there were a lot of smiles.
The International Club is sponsoring a Trick or Treat for UNICEF (United Nations Children’s Fund) fundraising project. The club has been involved for several years with this project and all of the funds are being donated to UNICEF.
We’re pleased to announce that Peter Brown, high school industrial technology teacher, is being inducted into his high school Hall of Fame. Peter graduated from St. Paul Hyland Park and taught there before coming to Waconia. Congratulations to Peter.
The fall musical ‘Fiddler on the Roof’ will run this week with four performances on October 10-12. Congratulations to the entire cast, crew, pit band, and directors Amanda Byrne and Liz Smith on another outstanding production.

This is a great opportunity for the parents of 10th, 11th and 12th graders.
Guidance Office Informational Meeting
On Wednesday, October 23rd at 6:00 pm in the Performing Arts Center, there will be a short informational meeting regarding the junior and senior year of high school.
Topics covered will be timelines, applications process, Naviance and any other questions families might have.
Students and parents are welcome.
