Spiritan Mission Monthly
October 12, 2022 | A publication of the Spiritan Office for Mission Advancement
Welcoming the Stranger | The Spiritan Office for Mission Advancement (SOMA) team has recently visited refugee & asylum seeker ministries run by religious congregations and the Diocese of El Paso. We discovered models whereby members, parishes and institutions of our province can begin a ministry of receiving, integrating and resettling people in need, in non-border communities. Read SOMA's plans for 2023 and beyond.
The African American Catholic Experience in Louisiana | Join Father Michael Grey, C.S.Sp., as he leads a two-day pilgrimage to historic Catholic Churches, founded by the Congregation in Lake Charles, Lafayette, Opelousas, Alexandria, and Isle Brevelle (Melrose Plantation).  Along the way we will have the opportunity to engage with past and present parishioners and discuss a range of topics impacting the Black Catholic experience in Louisiana.  Spots are limited. Learn more and sign up now!

Ukraine Donation Update | Thanks to our generous donors, along with the U.S. Province and Duquesne University, new stoves and food resources have been delivered to people in war-torn Ukraine. The Poland Province of the Spiritans are continuing to provide aid in the region as violence once again escalates. Your donation can help them reach more people.  Learn more.
Let us pray for you! To date, we've received prayer requests from 49 countries all over the world.  Click here to submit your prayer request, and your prayer intentions will be included in Masses celebrated daily by the U.S. Spiritans.
