Mentoring Programme for Women
|
|
Following the UN resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security, the OSCE launched Mentoring Programme for Women aiming at supporting women in their professional development by giving a chance to receive tailor-made first-hand guidance and experience from distinguished OSCE officials in a safe and professional environment. This year, we run the 4th round of the Programme with a record-breaking number of 176 highly motivated and enthusiastic participants.

To advance professional development of women at Field Offices, we run specific training on gender issues. At the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, staff members have the opportunity to attend training on Gender Based Violence, Gender Equality and Gender Mainstreaming which provide advanced knowledge on both normative frameworks and various practical implications such as gender-based bias, gender sensitive indicators and respective methodologies to be utilized in daily work.

Social Talent Development

Recruiters at the Secretariat engaged in upskilling and re-skilling in modern talent acquisition best practices via the Social Talent platform. With this certification, we aim to enable our HR practioners with update knowledge and skills to better serve our internal clients as well as enhance our employer branding, candidate experience and processing times in applications. The programme focuses on insights from behavioral science, marketing and technology to modernize the way we attract, engage and hire the best talent for the world’s largest regional security organization.

To support professionals involved in mediation and dialogue facilitation processes at the OSCE, the Conflict Prevention Centre runs a Mediation Course on biennial basis. The event brings together 20 staff members who advise high-level OSCE mediators for in-depth interactive engagement over a one-week period. Sustainable Strategy 2020

At the OSCE, we do care about environment and inspire sustainability in our employees’ lifestyle. Following its Sustainable Strategy 2020, the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine launched “Green Fridays for Fun”, a 3-month campaign aimed at explaining the global environment agenda in a simple way by offering staff tips and experiments on sustainability and eco-friendly approach in their daily living.

The OSCE is rolling out it’s structured and modernized onboarding programme for all our new hires. All OnBoard spans six months of the new hire’s journey, consisting of a blended induction programme, role-specific learning and a management development programme for all those with leadership responsibilities. All OnBoard provides our new hires with social connections and critical skills and knowledge they need to settle in quickly and become effective contributors to the OSCE mandate.

In 2018, for enabling and supporting the culture of continuing professional development, the OSCE launched a 6-month trial by providing 260 LinkedIn Learning licences across the Organization. Following positive feedback, we have extended access rights to 1650 licences across the whole Organization to let the OSCE employees benefit from the tremendous learning resources accumulated on the platform. By this moment, more than 60,500 videos were completed and 9,300 courses were viewed by our staff members.
